About Us

Moshi Rural Teacher's Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (MRT SACCOS LTD) was Officially registered in 1998 with Reg. No. KLR. 528 under Cooperative law and Rules of Tanzania. The registration was carried out partly under the supervision and guidance of Teachers Union in Moshi District (CWT) which gave 98 entries for the founder members include the cost of the registration of the party.

MRT Society was initially established by 98 founder members with a mission and the vision to build a strong society, to ensure good and reliable financial services to its member. Also to promote, develop, strengthen and capacity building on entrepreneurship in a competitive environment and provide effective and sustainable service without affecting or violating corporate principles with the aim eradicating poverty among themselves and the community.

Future Plans

• To expend branch network to bring services closer to members.
• To improve service delivery capacity by establishing effective customer care desks.
• Re-launch/repackage existing services /products end introduce other products as a move to expand our product base and mobilize more savings.
• Increase the Sacco's involvement in social activities.
